GAMEPLAY ENGINEER

We are looking for a Mid-Level Gameplay Engineer with Unreal Engine experience to develop responsive, engaging gameplay systems for our multiplayer FPS, Wardogs.
You’ll be working with designers, artists, and other engineers to create smooth, immersive player experiences while tackling technical challenges in C++ and Unreal Engine 4/5.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and maintain gameplay mechanics in C++ and Unreal Engine
- Debug and optimise code for smooth, high-performance gameplay
- Implement and refine multiplayer mechanics for a large-scale FPS
- Collaborate with designers and artists to bring game features to life
- Contribute to code reviews and help improve development pipelines
What we need from you
- Proficiency in C++ programming with experience in gameplay development
- Unreal Engine 4/5 experience, including gameplay systems and networking
- Understanding of multiplayer mechanics, replication, and performance optimisation
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on creating fun, polished gameplay
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across disciplines
The Game
You'll be working on Wardogs, an all-out-warfare multiplayer first person shooter. That means infantry combat, tank warfare, jet dog fighting, and artillery barrages. We play test the game twice a week, so you'll have lots of time to get stuck in and really be a part of the game you're creating.
